1. Who we are

JAYPERCLICK (trading as "jayperclick") is a sole proprietorship registered in India under Udyam registration number UDYAM-RJ-31-0040941.

We build and operate business messaging and commerce software. This includes software that connects a business customer's own WhatsApp Business account to the WhatsApp Business Platform, so that the business can run a catalogue, answer enquiries and take orders from its own customers.

In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" mean JAYPERCLICK. "You" means whoever is reading it, whether you are a visitor to this website, a business that uses our software, or a person who messages a business that uses our software.

2. Our two roles: controller and processor

This distinction matters, because it decides who is answerable for your data.

Situation Our role What it means
You visit this website or contact us about our services Controller We decide why and how your data is handled, and this policy governs it directly.
You message a business that uses our software on WhatsApp Processor That business is the controller. We handle your messages strictly on their instructions, to deliver the service they have asked us for. Their own privacy policy governs what they do with your data, and requests about your data are best sent to them. You may also contact us and we will pass it on.

3. What we collect

From visitors to this website

  • Anything you type into a contact or booking form, such as your name, email address, phone number and your message.
  • Standard server and analytics information such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed and referring page.

From business customers who use our software

  • Business name, contact name, email address, phone number and billing details.
  • WhatsApp Business Account and phone number identifiers, and the access tokens needed to send and receive messages on the business's behalf.
  • Catalogue content the business uploads, such as product names, photographs, descriptions and prices.

From people who message a business that uses our software

  • Your WhatsApp phone number and WhatsApp profile name.
  • The content of messages you exchange with that business, including text, images, documents and other media.
  • Message metadata such as timestamps and delivery and read status.
  • Enquiry and order details you provide, such as items of interest, quantities and delivery information.

We do not ask for, and our software is not designed to store, payment card numbers, bank credentials, government identity numbers, health information or any other special category of personal data. Please do not send these over WhatsApp.

4. How we use it

  • To deliver the messaging, catalogue and ordering features our business customers have asked for.
  • To route a message to the right conversation, and to let the business reply to you.
  • To show a business its own enquiries, orders and conversation history.
  • To provide support, investigate faults, and keep the service secure and available.
  • To bill our business customers and keep proper accounting records.
  • To comply with law, and to enforce our terms.

We do not sell personal data. We do not use the content of messages between a business and its customers to build advertising audiences, and we do not use that content to train machine learning models.

5. WhatsApp Business Platform and Meta

Our software is built on the WhatsApp Business Platform provided by Meta Platforms, Inc. and its affiliates. We are registered with Meta as a Tech Provider, which allows a business to connect its own WhatsApp Business Account to our software.

  • Messages sent and received through the platform necessarily pass through Meta's systems in order to reach WhatsApp. Meta's handling of that data is governed by Meta's own terms and privacy policies.
  • When a business connects its WhatsApp Business Account to our software, it authorises us to send and receive messages, manage message templates, and read the account information needed to operate the service. The business can withdraw that authorisation at any time from its Meta Business settings, which immediately stops our access.
  • We access only the accounts of businesses that have connected themselves to us, and only for the purposes described in this policy.
  • We do not charge a margin on WhatsApp conversation or messaging charges. Those are billed by Meta directly to the business customer's own payment method.

6. Who we share data with

We share personal data only with the following categories of recipient, and only as far as needed:

  • The business you messaged. If you message a business that uses our software, that business can see your number, your profile name and your conversation.
  • Meta Platforms, as described in section 5, in order to deliver messages over WhatsApp.
  • Infrastructure and hosting providers who run the servers, databases and backups our software depends on, under contracts that require them to protect the data.
  • Professional advisers and authorities, where we are required to by law, court order or a valid legal request, or where it is necessary to establish or defend legal claims.

If our business is ever sold or reorganised, personal data may transfer to the new owner, who would remain bound by this policy until they lawfully replace it.

7. How long we keep it

DataRetention
Website enquiry and contact form submissionsUp to 24 months from your last contact with us.
Conversations, enquiries and orders processed for a business customerFor as long as that business remains our customer, then up to 90 days after the account closes, unless the business asks us to delete it sooner.
Access tokens for a connected WhatsApp Business AccountDeleted as soon as the account is disconnected or the authorisation is withdrawn.
Billing and accounting recordsAs long as Indian tax and company law requires, currently up to 8 years.
Server and security logsUp to 12 months.

Backups are rotated on a fixed schedule. Data deleted from the live system may persist in an encrypted backup for a short period, until that backup is overwritten.

8. Deleting your data

You can ask us to delete personal data we hold about you. Here is how, depending on who you are.

If you messaged a business that uses our software

That business controls your conversation, so the fastest route is to ask them directly. You can also email us at info@jayperclick.com with the subject line "Data deletion request", telling us the WhatsApp number you messaged from and the name of the business you were messaging. We will confirm your request with that business and delete your conversation data from our systems.

If you are a business customer

Email info@jayperclick.com with the subject line "Data deletion request", from the email address on your account. Disconnecting your WhatsApp Business Account from our software in your Meta Business settings immediately revokes our access. To also erase stored conversations, catalogue content and account records, send us the request above.

If you contacted us through this website

Email info@jayperclick.com with the subject line "Data deletion request".

We acknowledge every deletion request within 7 days and complete it within 30 days, unless we are required by law to keep specific records, in which case we will tell you what we have kept and why. There is no charge.

9. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you can ask us to:

  • confirm whether we hold personal data about you, and give you a copy;
  • correct data that is wrong or incomplete;
  • delete data, as described in section 8;
  • restrict or object to a particular use of your data;
  • withdraw consent, where we relied on your consent.

Use the contact details in section 14. We may need to verify your identity before we act, so that we do not disclose someone else's data to the wrong person. If we are acting as a processor for a business customer, we will forward your request to them and support them in answering it.

10. Security

We protect data with measures including encryption in transit using HTTPS, access controls that limit who can reach production systems, credentials and access tokens kept out of source code and outside the browser, and regular backups. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take these obligations seriously and will notify affected people, and any authority that must be told, of a breach that presents a real risk to them.

11. Where data is stored

Our systems are hosted with infrastructure providers whose data centres may be located in India or elsewhere. Meta operates globally, so messages delivered over the WhatsApp Business Platform may be processed outside your country. Where data moves across borders, we rely on the protections our providers offer under their own contractual and legal frameworks.

12. Children

Our services are intended for businesses and for adults. They are not directed at children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service changes or the law changes. The "Last updated" date at the top always reflects the current version. If a change materially affects how we handle your personal data, we will tell affected business customers directly before it takes effect.
